Veronika is an Amsterdam-based choreographer whose artistic practice bridges classical dance training with contemporary multidisciplinary exploration. She completed her education at the Dance Conservatory of Prague in 2012, specializing in classical dance, before joining The Moravian Theatre Olomouc as a company dancer. Her career expanded through collaborations with The Black Light Theater of Prague, The North Bohemian Theatre, and the musical production Phantom of the Opera. A pivotal year-long internship at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main introduced her to contemporary techniques, leading to professional engagements at Staatstheater Darmstadt and Nordharzer Ballett. She has performed classical, modern dance, and pantomime repertoire across the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, China, Venezuela, Peru, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. In 2018, she presented her first choreographic work during the Young Choreographers evening at Gallus Theater in Frankfurt. Currently, Veronika continues her artistic path as a choreographer, drawing inspiration from literature to share ideas and stories on stage and screen in abstract yet relatable ways. Her first full-length multidisciplinary dance performance premiered at ZID Theater in Amsterdam in September 2022. She also works as a movement director for Dutch design brand Bleached Renaissance. Her work has been supported by Werktuig PPO, AFK Mijn Eerste Aanvraag, and Stimuleringsregeling Eigentijdse Dans.
